I've been busy with HFWT!
I know I haven’t been been all that active online here all that much lately.
I’ve been deep into writing and editing the first episode of Humble Folks With Temptation | Episode 1 - Nala’s South Park Yaoi Primer For The Masses.
I realized I needed to do something like this prior to the SP fan artist spotlight interviews.
My first script was all over the place and was about 15 minutes. I also started going onto tangents because I love South Park, Creek fandom, and other fandoms that I started to bring up. Unfortunately, I can easily go astray from my points (much like in actual conversations with me) so I’m on draft 3 now, trying to dial it in more to a tight 8 minutes, focusing on just explaining yaoi and related-terminology, and then the application that has occured over the past 25+ years for South Park characters.
Unlike career-related technical writing, I know I can get mired in visuals and timing and stuff, and I need to just find places to stop and go “this is good enough”. I have never been diagnosed with OCD, but editing and such with text, visuals, and video definitely causes me to constantly second guess every simple decision. I need to stop that.
So hopefully, I’ll start posting some more of my loves with music, illustration, comics, etc. when I’m about 80% done.
(I also have a 2nd job interview on Dec 4. If I get hired that could change my entire daily schedule and cause me to have less time to devote the the interview show. It sucks, but earning a living trumps fan-hobby stuff any day.)
